Rock and Roll

This is a repaint of a D and D plastic. I got the idea from Dampf's Modeling Page. He can pull several duties, stalking the battlefields of Song of Blades and Heroes, Retro SciFi and even VSF.

Sasquatch

Don't know where this fig came from, but I dug him out and painted him. He'll be great for multiple uses: Super Heroes, Pulp Sci Fi, and Song of Blades and Heroes.

The Greyhawk Project

Anybody who played D & D in the 80s has to remember one of the first complete worlds to game in, the World of Greyhawk. I lost more than a few characters to the lands of Oerth. I dug it up the book a few months back and found some inspiration to paint up all the extra fantasy/medieval figs I had lying about that were left over from larger units. The first unit had to be from the Free City of Greyhawk itself. Some Hundred Years War French pavasiers would fit nicely as Greyhawk guardsmen called to battle.
My ultimate is to do a few of these one offs a year till all the lands of Flanaess are represented.

Our Boys in Butternut

Inspired by the wave of activity over at the Lead Adventure Forum over a fictional 1938 British Civil War, I delved into something I've been toying a with, some ground based skirmishes set in the Crimson Skies universe. Crimson Skies is an aerial combat game with a great background set in the "what if the Great Depression caused the U.S. to break apart?".
Presented is the 13th Missouri State Militia. Unlike the Dixie Regulars clad in traditional gray, the state militia wear uniforms of the old butternut variety, as an homage to the waning days of the Confederacy. The blue shoulder tabs identify them as infantry and they carry a variation of the original Missouri battle flag. This picture was taken while on maneuvers in the Ozarks.
(Yes, the front rankers are blurry, but I'm too lazy to take another).

100 miniatures, 100 days

I managed to stick to a plan for once. I finished 100 miniatures in as many days. I didn't always paint one a day, sometimes I painted 7 on a Saturday that made up for the week, or a strip of 10mms counted as 1 figure. But, I did it. I wanted something special for my 100th, so here's Dash Dixon, Galactic Hero!

Samurai! (& a Ninja)

Painting the WW2 Japanese Super-Villains got me in the mood for some old Foundry Sammies.

Japanese Super-Villains of WW2

Here's just 3 of Japanese Super-Villains that will soon join Team Axis. Presnted are Rikishi the Super Sumo wrestler, Tsunami the Master of Water and Hachiman, the living embodiment of Warrior Japan. I'm also previewing 2 of the 4 Kamikaze robots.

Henchmen

The Villains always need some henchmen. Here's some for the Super bad-guys, or in case of these blue ones, maybe a techno-wizard of the future.

Galactic Arena

What to do with all those extra plastic Space Marines? Mine will be duking it out in the Galactic Arena. I'm using a stripped down version Supersystem. Players will be able to grab power ups around and weapons around the arena.

The Baron was not idle...

While on vacation I did not shirk my duties of the MAD project. Presented is the first war band for a future Song of Blades and Glory campaign. Next are some fodder for the arena. I love the old GW Chaos Dwarves.
