Mutant Thursday

For a "I don't have anything planned but the boys are coming over" game, I always fall back on Ganesha Games product, especially "Mutants and Deathray Guns". I usually just throw out a scenario. In this case, find the drinkable water source. I have cards made up for all the figures, so we just randomly deal each player 5, and make sure one has the "Leader" skill. So, with that said:
Somewhere in the Null zone, at the scene of an ancient battle between Giants, a source of untainted water springs. Five desperate factions fight for control...
Rombo and other members of the gang take cover behind a destroyed Giant Robot.
Mutants take the high ground.
Squilliam the Psychic
The battle rages.
In the end, it was called because of time. We could have finished quicker, but it was one of those nights where we spent alot of time BS-ing. The figures are mostly old GW stuff, repurposed for the dark future. I have more of a Kamandi / Gamma World / Thundarr take on the post apocolyptic theme. So the minis are painted in more of a comic style (bright colors) than a dark. dirty realistic vein.
The destroyed bots are old bases for Marvel action figures.

Henchmen

The Villains always need some henchmen. Here's some for the Super bad-guys, or in case of these blue ones, maybe a techno-wizard of the future.

Welcome to the Wastelands

This is one of Warbands I'm creating for Mutants and Deathray Guns. It's an all-human group called the Knights of Genetic Purity. They hunt the ruins around Kanzaz City looking for mutants and other undesirables.

Knight of Genetic Purity

Decided to borrow some mythology from Gamma World for use in Mutants & Deathray Guns. Presented is my leader from my Knights of Genetic Purity all human gang. He's made from an old school Space Marine. The rest of the gang have a very heraldic flair.

Mutants & Deathray Guns battle 2

Last Thursday we gathered in the Basement as is our way, to do battle. This battle took place in the post-apocalyptic future using the Mutants and Deathray Guns rules by Ganesha Games. Great rules. Easy to learn, and even with 5 players went quick.
The sceanrio: Five rival gangs were combing an ancient battlefield looking for tech and weapons. The team that could get off the most loot wins. Once again the laser rifle armed Bella, dominated the battlefield with 4 kills. Everyone is busy making up gangs to try the campaign rules.

Mutants & Deathray Guns

The Basement Generals tried out Mutants & Deathray Guns from Ganesha Games. Gotta, say, it was fun. I made some cards for each figure rather than roster sheets.
Pictured here is an old Necromunda figured painted orange. ViolA! a mutant leader!
