I HAVE A RE-ROLL- Playing MotU with Fistful of Lead

I had my first in-person game in a year. What a blast!

The game was a show case of how you can bits and parts from our different books to make the game you want.

The scenario: Deposits of rare Eternium have been found in the Valley of the Titans. He-Man and his arch nemesis Skeletor arrive at the same time to dig up some of the mineral. He-Man to use to power a dying city, keletor to build a super weapon.

Orko was the first casualty, victim of TriClops eye ray. Meanwhile Evil-Lynn used her dark sorcery to teleport to a ridge to where a deposit was spotted.

Man-at-Arms found some and quickly took it off the table. This left forces of Good outnumbered 7 to 5. But luckily, a Joker was played and He-Man got reinforcements in the form of Zodak, who appeared behind the baddies and ended TriClops sniping.

Stratos took to the sky and pushed Evil-Lynn off the ridge, but was himself too much of target for the baddies to pass up. He too would fall.

Meanwhile, He-Man, being the brave soul that he is, charged up the center to find a deposit of Eternium. But being in the middle made him the target of a lot of attacks.

Teela spent most of the game gagging and choking on Stinkor's stink cloud, trying to bring him to battle.

Heroes were falling left and right. In the end the Baddies won, escaping with enough Eternium to do god's know what. (That's next episode).

I forget to take pics, but luckily, the whole game can be seen here!

Shout out to Steve for his expertly painted minis.

On Campaign again?

With most of games virtual now, I'm thinking of reviving my much beloved Unkerlant campaign. It's a early 18th century Imagi-Nations campaign full of political plots and skullduggery, with battles fought on the tabletop. I would pick off where we left, but unfortunately one of the original participants is no longer with us.

I did a ton of backstory. The world of Unkerlant has a lot of depth. It would suit well with remote games, and might be especially fun doing online with Newsreel type updates and newspaper articles.

We started more than a decade ago, so if you missed its old iteration, check it out here.

Fistful of Lead Fantasy playtest II

Had a chance to put a remote game together for  CJ3 and used it as an opportunity to get in another playtest of our upcoming Fantasy trilogy. Six factions split into 2 grounds searching for the Dark Grimoire.

I won't go through the whole game, because the video playthru is here

2021

Like most people, 2020 didn't exactly turn out the way we planned. All of our travel plans to cons were cancelled. Weekly gaming became remote gaming.
Despite a lot of setbacks, we managed to get most of our projects done. New titles went out. But that was 2020.
We've got quite an ambitious 2021 lined up. Our Fantasy titles have been steadily moving along. We hope to have all three titles and two different card decks for them out first quarter of the year. Why the delay? Well, we wanted the best product we could produce.

After that,we've got all sorts of ideas.
Victorian SciFi supplement for Core and Bigger Battles
Pulp Age Superheroes
Giant Mech battles as a supplement for Bigger Battles
And surprises along the way: Scenarios, Campaigns, upgrades...
I hope you're as excited as we are. We hope to see you in person this year.
And play Wiley Games. Your miniatures will thank you.
