How you figure out how many figures a player has and what gear they have? Is there a point value?

Thinking of doing a fast Western Game in August at an event and the price is right for the rules and appears to fit my needs. Just curious how you design or figure out how many models (what they have per model)rules.

The best convention rules I have ever played!

It's not a game for Rule's lawyers or competition. Let's put it that way. I'm currently working on a set of expansion rules that will include very simple gang builder rules. But for now, a good rule of thumb is: 5-6 minis a player. No more rifle armed than pistols. Other than that. Have at it.

Styx,
Its a terrific game. We usually play at Jaye's with 5 or 6 players. It goes quickly, there are lots of decision points, and one spot in the town always seems to end up as "blood alley". :)

You don't select gear. Its a WYSIWYG kind of game. If the fig has it on, then he has it. There are rules for rifles, pistols, shotguns, dynamite, etc. Its meant to be fast and quick and usually deadly. But always fun. No better convention game. Easy to learn and it runs itself after the firts couple of turns.

If you ike the term I would call the rules 'cinematic'.

Thanks, fellas. Turned out pretty good for a set of rules I wrote in anger.

Your anger is so lovely.

Now imagine a "black powder" game in 54mm. It could happen!

My favourite Wild West rules, looking forward to the Morse and Husket version.
