Wiley Wargame Weekend AAR

I spent a chunk of last week furiously building and painting to host a wargame convention this weekend in my house, Wiley Wargame Weekend. It doubled as a birthday weekend for me and a fundraiser for convention we are trying to build. We had 16 attendees from 4 states (we are all vaxxed). Great fun was had and many bourbons were drank. Special thanks to my beloved wife for organizing the shin dig and doing most of the work, my son and daughter for acting as bartenders, parking lot attendants and general errand runners.

We had 6 tables. Tales of Horror,  54mm French and Indian War, Galactic Heroes Star Wars, Fistful of Lead Fantasy, Master of the Universe using all the FfoL library and finally a jousting tournament using the excellent Breaking Lances rules and miniatures by Skull and Crown. ENJOY!

Fistful of Lead Fantasy

So happy after a year and a half of work to finally be done with the Fistful of Lead Fantasy series. I put everything into these books and cards and I think it may be our best yet.

Like Horse & Musket 2nd Edition, these are full color softbacks. We, of course have pdfs available for folks abroad who can't afford the outrageous shipping.

Getting these books out is like putting your child out into the world for the first time. Will people like them? Will people be mean to them? We've had several games on our YouTube channel so people can see how the game is played, but you'll find it's the same game you know and love expanded into a wider fantasy setting.

We've also got some great cards. Two different themed decks.

So stop on over to the store and check them out HERE.

Fistful of Lead: Golden Age Supers!

It's 1954 and the Occult Wars are winding down. Agents of Ragnarok are still at it trying an arcane ritual somewhere in the jungles of Central America. Can Major Victory and the Liberty Legion stop them in time?

SPOILER:  The Liberty Legion was twarted in their attempt to keep the gateway to the Void closed. The Sentinel and Lucky were killed almost immediately. The Ubersoldaten were able to get their machines running, although the disoriented creature they summoned immediately disintegrated the evil scientist. Now the creature calling itself “The Emissary” is headed to the coast to wreak havoc on the rest of the world.

The lone surviving US soldier has been elevated to the next Sentinel while another Lucky clone is pulled out of storage. Will the locals be enough to stop them?

Catch the whole game here.

Bounty Hunters Bonanza!

After a couple of Bigger Battles it was a nice change to do some Galactic Heroes scale game.

We had a 10 player game with each player in control of a gang of bounty hunters. Each had a specific bounty but no idea where they were. Luckily they each had a tracking fob (I had a map where each bounty was and used  a small arrow to indicate direction. When the miniature with the fob was close I indicated the building they were in).

Once a bounty was caught, they had 2 different places they could turn them in, to Greef Karga or Jabba the Hutt. Players didn't know what each bounty was worth til the end, so poaching other player's bounties started almost immediately.

When the dust settled, only 3 bounties had been turned in. Backstabbing and skullduggery meant most of the players were combat ineffective by the time the authorities showed up to see what all the noise was about.

If you want to see the whole game, head one over to our YouTube channel here.
