TaKtiCon 2025

We had a great time (and a few sales) a couple of weekends ago at TaKtiCon in Kansass City (see what they did there with the K and C in the title?). While it's still a new convention it was bigger than last year's first ever. Three tournamnets, and plenty of non tournament games in all scales and genres. Including mine!

Friday I ran Battlesuit Alpha. Space Pirates had landed to steal precious fuel from the refinery. They almost got away with it too if it hadn't been for those pesky Panetary Defense Forces and especially Fancy Dan, mech pilot extraordinaire.

Fancy Dan takes on all comers!

The cavalry arrives!

Then Saturday it was a game of Glorious Adventures in the Age of Steam. We got a few fliers in the game to take the action vertical. Zee Germans were stopped from crossing the board.

The Rokkitruppen and Unicycle Uhlans died spectacularly as usual. All in all a great couple of days. Make sure to check it out next time.

Battlesuit Alpha playtest

We had another fun, informative playtest of of our upcoming mech battle title Battlesuit Alpha.

This was a 4 player game with each player running around 5 mechs. The rules allow players to control vehicles, infantry and flyers too, but we kept it a pure mech battle this time. The mission: find a downed pilot being held by rebel forces.

Do you know where you are? You're in the jungle, baby...

Rebel "Freedom Fighters".

Rescue Force Anaconda.

The Rebels saw losses early but quickly rallied and during close quarters action soundly stomped the attackers. They would hold on to the pilot and his important intel.

We used DP9's Heavy Gear miniatures for this particular game, but the rules are designed to use whatever you have; Battletech, CAV or any futuristic mechs you can buy or print.

Big Weekend of Gaming

We had a fantastic time time hosting the guys from Rocky's War Room this weekend. Three, count 'em, three wargames plus a whole lot of awesome between!

Friday night's game was a playtest of an upcoming supplement to  Galactic Heroes, Battlesuit Alpha.

Saturday morning some Fistful of Lead Fantasy in the Fantastic Caverns.

A break for some real Kansas City BBQ and a trip to our world famous National WWI museum.

Them Saturday night's mega Star Wars Bigger Battles game!

Matt did a great wrap up video HERE.
