Just got my copy of "in Her Majesty's Name". Being a fan of both VSF and "In the Emperor's Name", the predecessor of IHMN, I think I will be very happy. This should allow us to do smaller games in our GASLIGHT universe. Special Ops if you will. I'll post more after a read, and of course a play.
Huzzah! Pewrhaps I will have a copy in the post today as well!
ReplyDeletePerhaps, that is. Stupid typing.
ReplyDeleteI was considering ordering this. Can you talk a little bit more about it? I have their interwar rules they published not too long ago.
ReplyDeleteNothing like those, Robb. Each Osprey game titile seems to have nothing in common. The Dux Bellorum rules were based of an older set called "Glutter of Ravens". The inter war rules I thought were terrible.
ReplyDeleteIHMN you run groups from 5-15. A hero costs more, followers cheaper, etc.
Simple mechanics, Take your shootfactor plus a d6 roll looking to beat a target number based on the mini you're shooting at. If you make it, they have to make a save. Make it good, fail DEAD. Lots of other fluff for genre, but easy to learn mechanics. Click on the "ITEN" link under my post catagories.

Baron,
ReplyDeleteGood to see that you like our little effort :)
One correction, the game uses a D10.
Check the blog out for the announcement regarding the first supplement - Heroes, Villains and Fiends.
Cheers,
Craig.
You are correct, sir. I ahven't actually read the rules, just going by my ITEN experience.
